With this function you can import in a custom table in the platform, connected to a dabatase field, data about orders placed by the customers on your Shopify online store.
The Orders synchronization function is part of the Advanced version of the Shopify connector. Contact the Help Desk for further details.
Configuration
By enabling the orders sync you will keep a custom table updated with the orders made by your customers. Contacts must be already imported from Shopify, otherwise orders will be discarded instead of imported. You have two modes to keep the table synchronized:
- Real-time: you must enable Receive real-time order events from Shopify in order for the platform to sign up to receive updated order events from Shopify as they occur.
- Daily: you must enable the Import daily flag and set a time at which to import orders. We recommend to keep this option enabled so that we can download the orders placed in the past and we can also keep the table cleaned removing expired orders.
The Import orders recency parameter is used to both decide which orders to download from Shopify and which orders to delete from the platform because they have expired.
We will download orders using Shopify api and it is possible that you obtain less orders than you expect.
Use order history in contact filters
Once the import is performed you can filter contacts to create cluster based on what they order on your store. For example you can filter contacts who purchase items from a certain Vendor.
