LinkedIn has a Campaign Management section to manage your advertising campaigns. Campaign management is organized hierarchically in this order: to account, campaigns, and ads.
Ad account
To manage an advertising campaign, you need to have an ad account. Each ad account can control campaign groups, which in turn will contain campaigns. Each campaign consists of a set of ads that can make use of lead generation forms.
The ad account is responsible for real-time synchronization, as it enables our platform to establish a direct communication channel with LinkedIn to receive submissions of each form. Once you select an ad account from the campaign management, the view changes to show you all the available components.
Lead generation forms
Although each ad can use a lead generation form, LinkedIn treats each form independently from the ads it is associated with. Therefore, you won’t need to remember which ad contains which form, as they will all be visible and independent of the ads in which they are used.
To access the list of lead generation forms, use the menu within the campaign management that you see in the image below.
Each form consists of a title (which identifies the form within the platform), a description, and a series of fields that represent the questions. The questions will be the configurable component on our platform, thanks to the association with the database fields.
For each form, LinkedIn allows you to configure a variety of questions, including pre-filled fields such as first name, last name, email address, and phone number (if each of these is provided by the contact's LinkedIn profile). Additionally, you can include:
- custom questions with open-ended responses or single-choice among a variety of options,
- mandatory or optional consent checkboxes,
- hidden fields, configurable at the form level (they will have the same values for each submission made).
Below are some configuration examples for the different types of questions.

LinkedIn also allows you to create test forms, i.e., in draft state, that you can use to send test submissions to our system. The application will be able to distinguish test submissions.
