Unsubscription by button action
You can unsubscribe a contact from Shopify mailing list at the same time as unsubscribing from the platform.
To perform this operation it is necessary to modify the Unsubscribe flow of the considered database.
- Go to the Unsubscribe flow page of the database synchronized with Shopify:
Contacts > Database > Contacts settings > Service page flows - Click on Unsubscription
- From section Results open (Unsubscription) Confirm button.
- Create a new Button action by clicking on Add action and selecting Shopify: Unsubscribe from mailing lists. Click on Add action and a window with no option will open. Click on Save.
Warning
Once you have created the new unsubscribe flow, remember to save but not publish again the flow, so you don't lose the customizations you made.

To avoid re-importing unsubscribed contacts on Shopify as active contacts of the platform, make sure that the Unsubscribe contacts who have not agreed to receive marketing emails flag on Shopify is consistent with the button action inserted.

Unsubscription by List-unsubscribe
By enabling this flag in Settings > Parameters > Unsubscription:
the email marketing subscription will be disabled on Shopify when the customer click on the Unsubscribe embedded button present in their email client.
