You can connect magnews to ChatGPT or Claude to work with your account using natural language.
After connecting, you can ask the AI assistant to search for communications, retrieve information, analyze content, check workflows and help you with the operational activities available in your magnews account.
The connection uses the magnews MCP server. You do not need to know how MCP works to use it: simply configure magnews in ChatGPT or Claude, then make your requests directly in the conversation.
The information available depends on the permissions of your magnews user.

Before you start
To connect magnews to ChatGPT or Claude, you need:
- an active magnews account;
- your magnews user credentials;
- a compatible AI client, such as ChatGPT or Claude;
- the permissions required to access the information you want to consult.
When you authorize the connection, ChatGPT or Claude can use the tools made available by magnews according to your user permissions.
Connect magnews to ChatGPT
1. Enable developer mode in ChatGPT
To connect magnews to ChatGPT, developer mode must be enabled in your ChatGPT account.
If it is not active or you do not know how to enable it, check the official OpenAI guide on developer mode.
2. Create a new app in ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, go to:
and create a new private app for magnews.
3. Enter the magnews server details
In the app modal, enter the required details.
magnews MCP server URL:
https://mcp-mn1.mag-news.it/mcp/streamGive the app a clear name, for example magnews, or, if you use multiple accounts, magnews - Account name.
Then click Create.
4. Sign in with magnews
Click Sign in with magnews.
You will be redirected to the magnews login page. Enter the credentials you normally use to access your account and authorize the connection.
5. Enable magnews in the conversation
After login, magnews will be available among ChatGPT tools.
To use it in the current conversation:
- click the + button;
- go to More options;
- select the magnews app you want to use.
You can now start making requests to ChatGPT using the data available in your magnews account.
Try with:
“Show me the latest 5 communications available in my magnews account.”
Connect magnews to Claude
You can also connect magnews to Claude by creating a custom connector.
1. Open Claude connectors
In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors
Then click: + > Add custom connector
2. Enter the magnews server details
In the connector modal, enter the required details.
magnews MCP server URL:
https://mcp-mn1.mag-news.it/mcp/streamGive the connector a clear name, for example magnews, or, if you use multiple accounts, magnews - Account name.
Then click Add.
3. Connect your magnews account
In the connector screen, click Connect.
You will be redirected to the magnews login page. Enter the credentials you normally use to access your account and authorize the connection.
4. Enable magnews in the conversation
After login, magnews will be available among Claude connectors.
To use it in the current conversation:
- click the + button;
- go to Connectors;
- make sure the magnews connector is enabled.
You can now start making requests to Claude using the data available in your magnews account.

What you can do after connecting
After connecting magnews, you can use ChatGPT or Claude to consult the information available in your account and work faster on analysis, checks and operational activities.
To get more useful answers, try to make precise requests. You can specify, for example:
- the period you want to analyze;
- the channel or type of communication;
- the name or ID of the item you are looking for;
- the type of result you want, such as a list, table or summary.
Example:
“Show me a table with the email communications sent in the last 30 days, including name, send date and status.”
The information available depends on your magnews user permissions and on the tools enabled in the connection.
