You can connect your magnews account to either ChatGPT or Claude through the magnews MCP server, allowing you to work with your account using natural language.
With ChatGPT, you can use the public magnews plugin available in the Plugins section. With Claude, you can use the public magnews connector available in the Connectors section.
Once connected, you can search communications, retrieve information, analyze content, explore workflows, and use the tools available in your magnews account directly from the conversation.
The information and features available depend on the permissions assigned to your magnews user account.
Connect magnews to ChatGPT
With ChatGPT, you can use the public magnews plugin.
1. Open the magnews plugin
You can find it by:
- Searching for “magnews” in the ChatGPT Plugins section.
- Opening the magnews plugin directly.
2. Connect your account
In the magnews plugin page, click Connect and confirm that you want to add the plugin.
3. Sign in to magnews
Click Sign in with magnews.
You will be redirected to the magnews login page. Enter your credentials and authorize the connection.
4. Use magnews in a conversation
To use magnews:
- Open a conversation in ChatGPT.
- Click the + button.
- Search for or select magnews from the available plugins.
- Write your request.
For example:
“Show me the latest 5 communications available in my magnews account.”
Connect multiple magnews accounts to ChatGPT
If you use multiple magnews accounts, you can make them all available in ChatGPT.
The recommended setup is:
- Use the public plugin for the main account.
- Create a private plugin for each additional account.
This way, at the start of each conversation, you can choose which account to use.
1. Enable developer mode
To create a private plugin, developer mode must be enabled in your ChatGPT account.

2. Create a new plugin
Go to Plugins and create a new private plugin for magnews.
3. Enter the magnews server details
In the modal, enter the required details.
magnews MCP server URL:
https://mcp-mn1.mag-news.it/mcp/stream
Give the plugin a recognizable name, for example Magnews - Account name.
Then click Create.
4. Authorize access
Click Sign in with magnews, log in and authorize the connection.
The private plugin will be available together with the public plugin, and you will be able to choose which one to use in each conversation.
Connect magnews to Claude
You can use the magnews Connector with Claude.
1. Open the magnews connector
You can find it by:
- Searching for "magnews" under Settings > Connectors
- Opening the magnews connector directly.
2. Connect your account
On the magnews connector page, click Connect.
3. Sign in to magnews
You will be redirected to the magnews login page. Sign in with your magnews credentials and authorize the connection.
4. Enable the connector
To use magnews in the current conversation:
- Click +.
- Open Connectors.
- Make sure magnews is enabled.
You can now start using your magnews account directly from Claude.
Connect multiple magnews accounts to Claude
If you use multiple magnews accounts, you can make all of them available in Claude.
The recommended approach is to:
- Use the public magnews connector for your primary account.
- Create a private connector for each additional account.
This lets you choose which account to use at the beginning of each conversation.
1. Create a connector
In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors.
Then click Add custom connector.
2. Enter the magnews server details
Enter the remote MCP server URL. If you want to configure multiple accounts, include the account name as a query parameter. This allows you to create multiple connectors that use the same MCP server.

Give the connector a recognizable name, for example magnews – Account Name.
Then click Add.
3. Authorize access
Click Connect, sign in with your magnews account credentials, and authorize the connection.
4. Enable the connector
Verify that the connector is available in your conversations.
Write effective requests
To get better results, specify whenever possible:
- The period you want to analyze.
- The communication channel.
- The name or ID of the item.
- The response format you want (list, table, summary).
For example:
“Show me in a table the email communications sent in the last 30 days, with name, send date and status.”
The information available depends on the permissions of your magnews user and the tools enabled in the connection.
