Analyzing the performance of your communications is essential to improve your marketing strategies.
With MagNews, you can filter, view, and export reporting data for all sent communications — newsletters, DEMs, service emails, and transactional messages — in a simple and comprehensive way.
Explore and analyze delivery and performance data
Go to Insight > Communications to view the complete list of all communications sent from your magnews account.
You can use a set of quick filters (on top) to search more efficiently:
Conversions → to select a specific conversion goal
Journey → to filter communications that belong to one or more journeys
Time period → to choose predefined date ranges, such as Current year, Previous month, Current semester, and more
You can also use the search bar to find specific communications by name, subject, or keyword.
Customize the view
By clicking the gear icon at the top right of the table, you can choose which columns to display in the report.
The available information includes:
Technical details: sender, subject, sending channel
Absolute values: number of messages sent, received, opened, clicked
Percentage-based KPIs: delivery rate, open rate, click rate
Other summary data (e.g., first send date, journey, etc.)
You’ll find a complete list of available metrics in this dedicated article (link to the detailed documentation).
Export data to CSV
After applying your filters and selecting one or more communications from the table, click on “Actions” > “Export CSV”.
A window will open where you can choose which data categories to export:
Communication details (e.g. subject, send date)
Message metrics (e.g. messages sent, clicked, converted)
Message KPIs (e.g. open rate, click rate...)
Conversions (number and total value of all goals)
Total values (e.g. total clicks)
Contact-based metrics (e.g. contacts who received the message)
Contact KPIs (e.g. openers rate)
Start the task and then download the generated file — ready to use for analysis or internal reporting.
In the next screen, click “Download file” to complete the export process.
Also for transactional communications
The same filtering and export features are available for transactional communications as well.
You can access them from Insight > Transactional.
You can analyze them just like any other communication: apply filters, select the messages, export the data, and monitor the performance of these automated communications with precision.
