Web experience brings together the magnews tools that connect your website to the platform.
It helps you understand how visitors interact with your website, recognize them when they can be associated with a contact, and display personalized content at the right time.
With Web experience, you can, for example:
Analyze visitor behavior
Display banners and pop-ups, such as on site messages and signup forms
Measure conversion goals
Use the collected data for segmentations and automated flows
How it works
All Web experience features rely on a web property, which represents the connection between your website and magnews.
When you activate a web property, magnews automatically generates the magnews code. Once you install it on your website, the platform can start collecting the information defined by the web property configuration and, if enabled, display on site messages and signup forms.
In most cases, the magnews code runs only after the visitor has given the consent required by your website's cookie policy, according to your organization's configuration.
During the first visit, a cookie is created that allows magnews to recognize the visitor when they return to the website and build their browsing history.
The collected information can include, for example:
Navigation data, such as pages visited, visit frequency, or interests shown while browsing
Behavioral data, such as purchases, downloads, form submissions, or other actions you choose to track
Until magnews can associate the visitor with a contact, the visitor remains anonymous. Once the visitor is recognized, for example by clicking a link in a communication sent through magnews or submitting a form connected to the platform, their browsing history is associated with the contact and can be used by other platform features.
