In the Conversion goals section, you can create and manage the goals you use to measure important actions performed by your contacts, such as a purchase or another conversion on your website. From here, you can view goals that have already been configured, change their settings, manage parameters, and access the data collected.
View and manage conversion goals
The list includes two types of conversion goals:
- Client-side (from your website): goals that detect actions taken while browsing the website.
- Server-side (from a data table): goals that use data already available in magnews, such as orders synchronized from eCommerce.
Select a goal from the list to modify its configuration, add or manage the parameters to analyze in reports, and view the results collected.
Create a conversion goal
To create a new goal, select the button to add one and choose how conversions are recorded:
- Client-side: uses actions tracked on the website.
- Server-side: uses data in a magnews data table.

What is the default conversion goal?
The default conversion goal is the goal initially displayed in views that show conversion data, such as reports and cards available in your account.
You can select a different goal to see its data.
