Automated flows reports are the tool that allows you to thoroughly analyze the effectiveness of the automations created with magnews.
Thanks to a clear overview and detailed views, you can monitor entries, exits, conversions, and message performance, so you can constantly improve your flows and achieve increasingly better and more concrete results.
All automated flows: the list of your automated flows
To consult the reports, go to the Insight > Automated flow, here you will find two distinct sections: "All automated flows" and "Messages".
In the All automated flows section you have the complete list of all configured flows. For each one, useful information is shown such as the activation date, the status (active, paused, or stopped), the related journey, the number of active and completed sessions, and the related conversion rate. You can filter and sort automated flows according to different criteria, for example by name or by status, and with a simple click on the automated flow you are interested in you can access the full and detailed report.
Messages: all messages from your automated flow
In the Messages section, all messages sent from the different automated flows are collected in a centralized list, which you can analyze by easily comparing performance and results. Here you have advanced functions that allow you to filter and sort by conversion goal, apply time filters (month, quarter, semester, year), choose to display only the columns that interest you, and export the data by selecting the KPIs most relevant for your analysis. All this makes it much easier to compare performance and optimize automated messages crosswise.
The same logic can also be found within the report of a single automated flow. In the related Messages tab, in fact, you have a list identical in functionality and display, but limited exclusively to the messages sent from that specific automated flow. This way you can work both in a cross-flow analysis perspective and in depth on a single automation process, maintaining the same user experience and the same filtering and export tools.
Summary: your automated flow at a glance
When you enter the report of a automated flow, the first section you find is "Summary". This is where all the main information is concentrated, collected in different cards that guide you step by step in interpreting the results.
Conversions: the value of your automated flow
When the message in the automated flow generates conversions — such as purchases, downloads, or subscriptions — the first report is the one related to "Conversions". Here you can immediately see the conversion rate achieved by the automated flow, how many actions have been completed (for example purchases or subscriptions), the total value generated, and the average value per conversion. Next to this data you can also see the date of the last recorded conversion, so you can understand how long the flow has been producing results. It is an immediate snapshot to link the effectiveness of the automation to concrete business results.
By clicking on "Conversion goal report" you can access an even more detailed view of the conversions generated. This feature allows you to connect the effectiveness of the message in the automated flow with the real behaviors of users, to understand not only who clicked, but also who actually completed the desired action.
Performance: interaction results
The "Performance" report shows how the sessions of the contacts who went through the automated flow were distributed. The outcomes are classified as positive or neutral, and the visual representation helps you quickly read the proportions. It is the fastest way to understand how many contacts successfully completed the automation and how many instead stopped without completing a relevant action. In addition, if you want to work with the data independently or integrate it into other analyses, you can export the entire table in CSV format with a simple click.
Performance detail: a closer look
The "Performance detail" report adds an extra level of analysis. Here you can discover what lies behind each outcome, seeing which nodes of the automated flow led to a conversion, which to a neutral exit, or to other types of result. You can move between the different views – all, positive, neutral – and read both the numeric table and the pie chart representation, which highlights the weight of each node. This detail is very useful to identify the points of the flow that work best and those that need to be optimized. In addition, in the All view you also have the option to export the data in CSV format, so you can analyze it further or integrate it into other reports.
Outcome trend: performance over time
The "Outcome trend" report adds a time dimension to automated flow analysis. Here you can see how performance has been distributed month by month and understand whether the automation is improving over time or if there are signs of decline to investigate.
This section offers two display modes. The first is the Trend view, represented by a chart showing the progress of contacts broken down by outcome: positive, neutral, negative, or others. It is an immediate representation that allows you to visually grasp the weight of each group and the evolution of results over the months.
The second mode is the Values view, which accompanies the chart with a detailed table of numerical data for each month. Here you can precisely read how many contacts had a positive outcome, how many neutral, any negative, and the total number of completed sessions. This table can be exported in CSV format, so you can work on the data independently, integrate it into other analyses, or keep it for historical comparison.
Thanks to these two perspectives – one visual and immediate, the other analytical and numerical – the report helps you monitor the progress of your automated flows over time with great flexibility.
Messages: all messages at a glance
Next to the Summary section, you will also find the "Messages" tab. This tab only appears if the automated flow actually contains one or more messages. Here you have a dedicated list of all the messages sent by the flow: for each one you can consult the main data such as sender, subject, channel used, number of sends, open rate, click rate, and conversion rate.
By clicking on a single message you are taken directly to the related message report, which allows you to explore all the KPIs with the complete funnel: emails sent, delivered, opened, clicked, and converted. In this way you can connect the results of the automated flow with the performance of the messages that make it up and analyze recipients’ behavior in more detail.
Thanks to this menu, analyzing automated messages becomes much simpler and more complete: you can move from the overall view, with the list of all automated flows and their messages, down to the detailed view of each single message.
With the new automated flow reports you always have everything under control: from the overall performance of automations down to the detail of individual messages. Use this analysis to make data-driven decisions, optimize your flows, and make each automation increasingly effective.
