Journey Lab folders let you organize communications, automated flows, landing pages, on-site messages, and other assets in a shared structure used across all journeys. You can use them to group assets by year, project, campaign, or business area and find them more easily across Journey Lab.
The same folder structure is available in Journey Lab, within individual journeys, and in the lists dedicated to each asset type. What changes is the content you see depending on the context you are working in.
How folders work
Folders are shared across all journeys: they do not belong to a specific journey and always keep the same structure. This means that when you assign an asset to a folder, you will find it in that same folder wherever the folder is available.
For example, you can create a 2026 folder and use it to collect assets created during the year, even if they belong to different journeys.
What you see in folders
The content of a folder depends on where you are viewing it in Journey Lab.
- In Journey Lab, the folder shows all the assets it contains, even if they belong to different journeys.
- Within a journey, the same folder shows only the assets that belong to that journey.
- In asset-type lists, such as Communications, Automated flows, or Landing pages, the folder shows only assets of that type.
This way, you can use a single organization structure without having to recreate the same folders for each journey or asset type.
Create and manage folders
You can create folders and subfolders to build the structure that best fits the way you work.
Changes to the folder structure apply everywhere. For example, if you create a subfolder while working inside a journey, it will still become part of the shared folder structure and will also be available in other contexts.
An example folder structure
You can structure folders however you prefer, based on your team's needs. For example, you can create one folder for each year and, within each year, collect assets from all the journeys created during that year.
