The Conversion goals report brings together the results of your account’s goals: purchases, registrations, downloads, and other actions that matter to your business. See how many conversions you have recorded and how much revenue they have generated.
The report also shows which communications, automation flows, landing pages, and other magnews assets have contributed to conversions. This analysis, called attribution, helps you understand which marketing activities contribute to your results.
Access the report and select a period
Go to Insight > Conversion goals to open the overview.
Select the period you want to analyze: all cards show results for the selected date range.
Choose between revenue and conversions
The two tabs let you analyze results from different perspectives:
- Revenue: shows the monetary amounts associated with conversions, such as order totals. It only includes goals with revenue measurement enabled.
- Conversions: shows the number of conversions recorded across all goals, including those without revenue, such as resource downloads.
The selected tab applies to all cards on the page.
If your goals measure revenue in different currencies, amounts are shown separately. For example, revenue in euros and revenue in dollars are not added together into a single total.
Compare results over time
The summary shows results by goal type, such as purchases or downloads. Select a type to view its total and the percentage change compared with the previous period.
The comparison covers two periods of equal length. For example, if you select the last 7 days, the change shows how much revenue or the number of conversions has increased or decreased compared with the preceding 7 days.
The chart shows conversions over time and includes both the selected period and the previous one. If you select the last 30 days, you will see 60 days of data, allowing you to see how results are distributed and identify any peaks or drops.
You can also view the chart data in a table and export it as a CSV file.
View results for individual goals
The Conversion goals card shows the top-performing goals for the selected period, organized into Client-side and Server-side tabs.
Select a goal’s name to open its detailed report, or click View all goals to access the full list.
Identify assets that contribute to results
The Top assets card shows the magnews assets to which conversions have been attributed, such as communications, transactional messages, automation flows, landing pages, and on-site messages.
You can compare them using:
- Revenue, available in the Revenue tab and shown separately for each currency
- Number of conversions attributed to each asset
- Conversion-to-interaction rate, the percentage ratio of attributed conversions to interactions with the asset, such as opens, clicks, or views
In the Revenue tab, the number of conversions and the Conversion-to-interaction rate also only include goals that measure revenue. The Conversions tab includes all goals.
Use this data to identify assets worth exploring further: for example, an email that contributes to high revenue or a landing page with a strong conversion-to-interaction rate.
