In this section, you can configure in detail all the settings related to your Magento store and its synchronization with the platform. In particular, you will need to enter parameters related to:
Store configuration
Complete the Store Configuration section by entering your store data:
-
eCommerce Address:
enter the Magento frontend URL. -
Default Website:
indicates the default website for catalog information. -
Default Store View:
specifies the default store view for retrieving Magento catalog information. -
Tax Rate:
prices coming from Magento are by default passed without tax (e.g., if your eCommerce operates in Italy, prices are net of VAT). Enter the percentage of taxes to apply to catalog products here. If prices already include tax, leave this field empty. -
Cart Address:
fill in this field only if automatic recognition fails or if you want to force the cart address.
Download images from a custom URL
If you enable this option, you must specify a URL that will be used to download images, different from the one set as the eCommerce address.
This option is useful when using a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for media content delivery.
Once enabled, enter the base CDN URL in the Custom image download URL
field.
Make Magento newsletter subscriptions unique per Store
Enable this option if your Magento instance is configured to collect multiple subscriptions, from stores on different websites, using the same email address.
This way, if each website in your Magento instance is configured on a separate MagNews database, you can manage newsletter subscriptions and unsubscriptions separately for the same email address.
Link Configuration
For your Magento product landing pages, we prefer using SEO-friendly URLs (Magento URL key) because they're optimized for search engines. However, if you prefer using product ID-based links, you can do so by enabling the option "Do not use SEO-optimized links".
If URLs for the frontend have been customized for each Store View in Magento, you must also complete the appropriate table:
Clicking on the Add configuration
button allows you to configure multiple Store Views within the platform. A window will open where you must enter, for the selected Store View:
-
Store View base URL
the address of the eCommerce -
Product landing page with URL
must be entered using the format:eCommerce address[/][productUrl]/?___store=[storeViewCode]
-
Product landing page without URL:
must be entered using the format:eCommerce address[/]catalog/product/view/id/[productId]/?___store=[storeViewCode]
-
Cart address
enter the cart address of the store view
You can use the following placeholders in the URLs:
-
[productUrl]
: Relative product URL in Magento -
[productId]
: Product ID in Magento -
[storeViewCode]
: Store View code (e.g., it, en, es)
Once the configuration is complete, click Save
to register your preferences.
Workflow Settings
If the optional workflow module is also available on the platform, configure the settings related to the interval for retrieving new customers and abandoned carts. By default, this interval is 48 hours.
Only sessions (not previously created, e.g., because the workflow was paused) related to contacts or carts created within the defined time interval will be retrieved.
