It is possible to track two different types of conversions: Simple Conversions and Advanced Conversions.
Tracking a Simple Conversion means, on the platform, monitoring who and how many contacts clicked on a specific link inserted within a communication.
To track these conversions, there is no need to use Web Tracking; you just need to activate an option when inserting a link in a communication.
The tracking of an Advanced Conversion is detected on sites external to the platform and records the achievement of predefined goals such as:
- How many purchases were recorded on an eCommerce site after sending a communication?
- How many contacts downloaded a document reserved for them?
- How many users completed the registration for the next webinar or event?
To get answers to these questions, you need to activate and configure the Web Tracking module and insert the provided Javascript scripts into the pages of the site that identify the conversion (e.g. thank you page, file download, etc.).
