Once the Facebook account has been set up, you can synchronise in magnews the contacts who have filled in one or more acquisition forms linked to a Facebook page in order to activate customised paths by means of mass communication or via automated flows.
Link the acquisition module
From the magnews Profile Studio, open the Meta for Business menu and click on Modules.
Click on Link form and choose the form, the target database and the value for the Origin field to be assigned to contacts from this form.
When connecting the module make sure to select acceptance of the terms of service.
You will then be directed to the module's home page where you can continue the configuration and also check the import status later.
How to import all form fields
On the Setup card you will find the target database for the contacts and the value for the Origin field. If you want to change the database or origin set previously, click on Edit.
In this window you will also have two other options:
- Add the imported contacts to a new static audience, which allows you to group the contacts that have filled out this form into an audience with the same name as the Meta form.
- Reactivate unsubscribed contacts (suspended/unconfirmed), which forces the reactivation of contacts who had previously unsubscribed from communications (or had been suspended or had not confirmed their subscription).
To configure which fields to import click on Mapping.
By default we add the mapping of the form's Email field (if present) with the system's Email field.
To add more fields click on Add association and select the input field and the target field.
There is also a Fixed fields tab, where you can add magnews fields to be valorised (by expression) in the same way for all contacts who have filled in the same form.
⏱️ Time to activate automatic synchronisation
You have set up all the configuration so that the contacts are imported into the selected database properly, all that remains is to activate the form!
If you want to give it a try click on Start now, this will start a manual synchronisation as soon as possible of all contacts who have filled in the form up to that moment.
This step can also be skipped and you can click directly on Activate to activate automatic synchronisation and have the new contacts in the database shortly after they have filled in the form (depending on the minutes configured).
Even in this case, however, if it is the first time you import the form, the entire history of contacts who have filled out the form up to that point will be retrieved.
At the end of the execution we will show you information in the Status card.
At this point you should find the contacts in the database you selected in the import, in Profile Studio, with all fields valorised as mapped.
