Configure an SMS
To configure your message you can:
- Copy an existing message within the workflow

By creating a new message you will need to enter the sender, text, and choose the most suitable configuration for your SMS.
SMS message encoding
You will need to configure the message according to the characters supported. Depending on the encoding you choose, a different character set will be available and the number of characters available for the message will change.
- GSM: the GSM 03.38 encoding provides a maximum of 160 characters.
- Unicode: the extended Unicode UCS-2 encoding provides a maximum of 70 characters but supports a greater range of characters.
Changing the status of a text message
When you create on a new message, the Magnews editor immediately saves it as a draft.
- Messages “in draft” are incomplete, or simply awaiting review
- “Active” messages are those actually used by the stream for automatic sending to contacts.
An active SMS in the flow is sent automatically.
