How to create a subscription flow

Let’s build a subscription flow for your database together.

1. Create a landing page by following the path 
   Journey Lab >> [Journey name] >> Click Create >> Choose Landing page
2. Name the page
3. Customize the permalink
   
4. Click Create landing page
5. Choose the Inspire Landing page template
   

6. Customize header and footer by clicking the section properties icon
   

   If you want to create an iframe, you can remove both header and footer
7. Remove or edit the existing content section
8. Click Add section
9. Move to the Form category and pick a section that fits your goals
   
10. Customize the introductory text

11. By default, the form object includes a text field named email. Open it and check that everything matches your goals
    

    Every field you want to save in the database must be linked to a database field. If the field doesn’t exist yet, create it and link it to the form 
12. Besides the email field, let’s also collect Country and User type, so add a dropdown element for Country
    
    
13. Click Copy values from a linked field to use the values stored in the database
14. Click Save
15. For User type add a single-choice element, link it to the field you created, and Save.
    
16. Customize the Submit button:
    Open the Actions tab and click Add action
    • Subscribe contact (in Edit contact)
      
      Choose the database where the contact will be saved and the source
      
      Here you choose whether you want a single opt-in or double opt-in.

17. Customize the Navigate action
18. Activate the landing page

Single opt-in

The contact is added to the database right away, without any verification.

Choose the Single opt-in subscription mode.

No additional actions needed, you can customize the Navigate action to redirect to another page.

Protect your form with a captcha

Double opt-in

• Choose the Double opt-in subscription mode and save the action
• Add the Send email action (task)
  
  1. Click New message
     
  2. Name the message and click Create communication
     
     
  3. Choose the template
  4. Build your email and add a call-to-action element

  5. In the link text area, click the link icon and select service link >> confirm subscription
     

     Make sure your database has a subscription confirmation flow
  6. Save
  7. Add the subject line and publish the message
• Go back to the landing page and save the action
• Customize the Navigate action if you want to redirect to another page
• Customize the text shown to people after they submit the form
