Let’s build a subscription flow for your database together.
- Create a landing page by following the path
Journey Lab >> [Journey name] >> Click Create >> Choose Landing page - Name the page
- Customize the permalink
- Click Create landing page
- Choose the Inspire Landing page template

Customize header and footer by clicking the section properties icon
If you want to create an iframe, you can remove both header and footer - Remove or edit the existing content section
- Click Add section
- Move to the Form category and pick a section that fits your goals
- Customize the introductory text

By default, the form object includes a text field named email. Open it and check that everything matches your goals
Every field you want to save in the database must be linked to a database field. If the field doesn’t exist yet, create it and link it to the form - Besides the email field, let’s also collect Country and User type, so add a dropdown element for Country
- Click Copy values from a linked field to use the values stored in the database
- Click Save
- For User type add a single-choice element, link it to the field you created, and Save.
- Customize the Submit button:
Open the Actions tab and click Add action-

Choose the database where the contact will be saved and the source
Here you choose whether you want a single opt-in or double opt-in

- Customize the Navigate action
- Activate the landing page
Single opt-in
The contact is added to the database right away, without any verification.
Choose the Subscribed status
No additional actions needed, you can customize the Navigate action to redirect to another page.
Protect your form with a captcha
Single opt-in is smoother than double opt-in, but less secure. People could add fake or uninterested email addresses, and your form could be exposed to list bombing. Learn what list bombing is >>
Double opt-in
- Choose the Unconfirmed status and save the action
- Add the Send email action (task)
- Click New message
- Name the message and click Create communication
- Choose the template
- Build your email and add a call-to-action element

In the link text area, click the link icon and select service link >> confirm subscription
Make sure your database has a subscription confirmation flow - Save
- Add the subject line and publish the message
- Click New message
- Go back to the landing page and save the action
- Customize the Navigate action if you want to redirect to another page
- Customize the text shown to people after they submit the form
