The newsletter templates of the Magento Connector
Once the synchronization between the Magento websites and the platform is configured, two custom templates will be available to create communications containing Magento products:
- Magento Newsletter:
this template allows you to insert static products directly from the Magento catalog. - Magento One-to-One:
this template allows you to create automated triggers using the information from abandoned cart, last order, and wishlist.
To select one or the other template, at the second step of creating a Newsletter, which is the template selection step, make your choice in the Custom Templates section.

In the Magento Newsletter template, it is possible to insert two types of objects:
- Product (simple):
selected from those existing in the Magento catalog. - Product (smart selection):
products are added automatically and dynamically according to rules defined in the product configuration section.
Insert a simple product
To insert a simple product:

Select the graphic layout of the object to be inserted by choosing one from those available in the body section of the editor:
- Product small image
- Product large image
- Product 1 block
- Product 2 blocks
- Product 3 blocks
- Drag the layout object to the position where you want to place it
- Select the properties of the object to open the dialog window
- In the General section, by clicking the Import from Magento button, you can choose a product from the catalog based on its category, Magento visibility, status, availability, or Store view; or by entering the SKU code.
- In the Price section, the original price and the possibly discounted price are automatically filled in.
Product information
For each product imported into the newsletter, the following fields are mapped:

- 'sku' magento
corresponds to the Name field which is an identifier and is not displayed - 'name' magento
corresponds to the Title field, and is displayed as the name of the object - 'description' magento
corresponds to the Abstract field, which is the short description of the product - image magento
points to the image on the front-end of Magento via a specific placeholder - url magento
link of the object on the platform to the product landing on Magento - price and special price (on sale) magento
correspond respectively to the price and special price fields available in the Price section.
For products in the Cart: Products
and Last Order: Products

corresponds to the discounted price - 'regularprice'
corresponds to the full price of the product - 'regularpriceactive'
indicates whether the product is currently on discount, making it relevant to show the strikethrough full price

Insert a Smart Selection product
The Smart Selection product allows you to automatically insert a list of best-selling products, most viewed products, or latest arrivals.
For each type, you can select the time frame to consider, the number of products to insert, the sorting, and whether to consider only products from a specific category.
To insert one or more smart selection products:
- choose the block in the newsletter where you want to insert them
- from the Insert new content menu, select the Products: Smart Selection option.
- To configure the various options, click on the properties option.
- In the window that appears, the following items should be configured:
- Dynamic list:
Which type of products to include by choosing from:
- Best Selling Products (By quantity)
- Best Selling Products (By revenue)
- Most Viewed Products
- Latest Arrivals
- From:
time frame within which the products to be inserted into the communication will be selected. - Number of products:
how many products to insert in the communication - From categories:
limits the selection to one or more categories.
Indicate the IDs of the categories separated by commas. Subcategories will be included automatically. Leave empty to not filter. - Consider only the products from the contact’s store view
if this option is activated, only the products present in the contact’s Magento store view will be considered - Ordered by:
- Automatic (products are sorted based on the results found from the selection query)
- Price (descending)
- Price (ascending)
- Name (A-Z)
- Name (Z-A)
- Dynamic list:
Insert a list of dynamic products in a communication - Using the One-to-One template
The custom template Magento One-to-One allows you to create automated triggers using information from the abandoned cart, last order, and wishlist.
When creating the communication, choose the aforementioned template from the Custom Templates section; in the HTML Design section.
It is possible to insert, in addition to standard objects, some dedicated objects:
- Automatic product suggestion:
allows you to
- insert a list of products based on the last order, abandoned cart, or the wishlist
- choose the type of product (UpSell, Cross-Sell, or related products)
- choose how many products to print
- define the ordering of displayed products
- choose whether to consider only products in stock
- prevent sending the communication if there are no products
- Cart info:
print all information from the last abandoned cart - Cart Button:
inserts a direct link to the abandoned cart to continue the purchase - Cart Products:
prints the list of products in the cart. You can choose:
- the maximum number of products to include in the communication
- the type of ordering of the inserted products
- whether to consider only products in stock
- whether to prevent sending the communication if it has no products
- whether to consider only products present in the contact's store view
- Last order:
you can insert the information from the last order (Last order: Info
) or all the products included in the cart (Last order: Products
) - Wishlist:
you can insert the information or the products from the Wishlist (Wishlist: Info
). If you insert the products, they need to be configured:- the maximum number of products that can be inserted
- the type of ordering (by ascending/descending price or in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order)
- whether to show only available products
- whether to prevent sending the communication if there are no products inside
- whether to include only products present in the contact's store view in the communication
