Google Ads provides an extension that allows you to build a form and collect leads.
Through Google Ads Connector, you can automatically and in real-time create contacts on the platform as soon as they fill out your form.
Create a new lead form
To get started, go to Connect, select Google Ads, and click on Lead Forms.
You will see a page containing the list of Forms already linked to the platform or that you will link.
Click on the button at the top right New Lead Form and select the form you want to import.
All the forms connected to the Google Ads accounts you can access will be proposed to you, except for those already mapped in the platform.
Also, choose the database in which you want to import the contacts collected from the form and click Save.
At this point, the page will refresh, and the entire set of configuration options will be displayed.
Real-time synchronization
When you add a new form to the connector, the platform generates a configuration on your form to ensure contacts are immediately received and imported.
If you see an error like this:
it is possible that your form is already configured for reception in another account of the platform or even in another platform.
You can force receipt on the current account by clicking the Reset notification configuration button.
The Activate flag allows you to comfortably complete all configurations before starting to receive leads.
Contacts who fill out the form but were already on the platform are updated only if they were in Subscribed (or Unconfirmed) status. If they were in Suspended or Unsubscribed status, they are not updated. If you want to import them anyway, you must enable the Reactivate disabled contacts flag.
The Maximum days of inactivity option helps you monitor forms that are not receiving submissions for a certain number of days, also receiving a notification if the Enable daily import error notifications parameter on the Technical Parameters page is enabled.
Field mapping
In this section, you can map a question from the form to a field on the platform.
Mapping can be done manually question by question or automatically based on the question and the field name.
You are not required to map all fields, but you must certainly map the primary key of the chosen database.
Import a response into a new field
It is possible to import a response into a new field created specifically for the form. To do this, first choose the question and instead of selecting the platform field, click on the plus button and fill in all the fields of the window that opens.
Response mapping
If your question on the form has predefined values, you can also set up a mapping of responses to the field values.
To do this, first choose the question and instead of selecting the platform field, click on the properties button and proceed to add one by one the possible response values and the corresponding selected field value.
This option is available only if the chosen platform field has a finite number of values, such as a Yes/No field or a List of values field.
Qualifying questions
Qualifying questions may be present on your Google Ads form, but to map them, an additional configuration step is necessary.
Click the Discover qualifying questions button and carefully follow the instructions in the online guide.
Your contribution is necessary to perform (from Google Ads) a test submission to our systems so we can analyze it and extract the qualifying questions to add to the rest for mapping.
For them to be "discovered," after sending the test from Google Ads, you also need to click the Verify button before closing the window.
Import statistics
In this section, we show you the counters related to your form and the number of interactions with the platform: the contacts created/modified and the automated flows sessions started.
