In some cases you will find yourself using surveys to collect personal contact information, such as a new sign-up, or to renew a marketing consent.
It may be helpful to send a summary email message to the contact, for transparency and to make them aware of the information they have shared.
Add message sending action
- Open the landing page in edit.
- Select the send questionnaire button and add a Send Email action.
- Choose to create a new message.
Prepare the email communication
Configure the layout using the available templates.
Prepare a block of text in which to collect the responses received in the questionnaire. You can also create a layout of multiple text elements.
Insert placeholders
Select a text element in which to insert contact responses.
Use the icon to access the custom data, select “Landing page fields” and from there the responses you would like to enter.
The link between the questionnaire and the message will be handled automatically by magnews.
For the more technical, landing page placeholders are treated with the prefix survey, for example:
[survey:evaluation]

- Create a new email message inside the landing page. You will then have a single subject line that contains both elements: the survey and the thank-you email.
