With the new 14.0 version of the Microsoft Dynamics app, new features and improvements make data synchronization between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and magnews more flexible.
From support for multi-select fields to new database configuration options, here are the main updates.
Support for multi-select fields
Data synchronization now also supports multi-select picklist fields in Microsoft Dynamics.
You can use these fields when mapping Contacts, Leads, and Accounts, preserving information that contains multiple values within the same field.
This allows you to transfer more complete data to magnews, gain a better understanding of your contacts, and personalize your marketing activities.
More flexible import filters
Multi-select picklist fields can now also be used in import filters.
This allows you to define more precisely which data to import from Microsoft Dynamics, including fields containing multiple values.
You have greater flexibility when configuring imports and can select the most relevant information for your activities.
Importing into databases with an email key
With version 14.0, you can also configure a magnews database that uses the email address as its primary key as the import destination.
This expands your synchronization configuration options, allowing you to use databases organized by your contacts' email addresses.
Workflow improvements
We've updated the Contact Plan workflow node, bringing it to the new magnews interface.
This is the first step in updating the app's features to make configuration and everyday use more consistent with the rest of the platform.
Other improvements
Version 14.0 also includes several updates to improve the reliability and management of data exchanged between Microsoft Dynamics and magnews.
These include:
- Contact synchronization: improved mobile phone number handling, including international dialing code normalization.
- Related entities: improved date field handling and added the ability to download metadata for individual entities.
- Imports and exports: additional checks and reporting improvements to make data exchange operations more reliable.
These updates, along with several fixes and technical optimizations, make the Microsoft Dynamics integration more complete and reliable.
