The domain is not connected to the platform | The required DNS record of type CNAME to connect the web domain to the platform and make it usable does not exist or is not properly configured |
Refer to the guide How to create a web domain to verify how the DNS record of type CNAME should be created. Then, access the DNS provider that hosts your domain, navigate to the section for setting DNS records and add/modify the DNS record of type CNAME as per the provided instructions. If you're not able to create DNS records independently, ask for help from the support of the DNS Provider hosting your domain, or from your IT department or whoever manages the DNS configurations of your domain. For further details on the error message displayed and the actions to be taken to resolve it, you can always contact our Help Desk support. |
The connection to the domain is not secure | The connection is not secure because the web domain does not have an SSL certificate and the links are not generated in HTTPS |
Go to the Security section of the web domain edit tab, activate the "Generate links in HTTPS" option, and create the SSL certificate for the web domain. For more details, check How to create a web domain. By following this procedure, you can autonomously and automatically create an SSL certificate for the web domain with Let's Encrypt Certificate Authority. Contact our Help Desk support if creating SSL certificates with Let's Encrypt for your web domain is not allowed. |
The SSL certificate associated with this domain is not valid | The SSL certificate associated with the web domain is not valid, and contacts clicking on the links in the communications will see an intermediate page indicating that the connection is not secure. |
Go to the Security section of the web domain edit tab and deactivate the "Generate links in HTTPS" option. For more details, check How to create a web domain. Then, contact our Help Desk support for a check. |
The domain's SSL certificate is valid but not active in the platform | The web domain has a valid SSL certificate, but you have not yet specified to generate the links in HTTPS. | Go to the Security section of the web domain edit tab and enable the "Generate links in HTTPS" option. For more details, refer to How to create a web domain. |
The link tracking domain does not belong to your organization |
You are using the platform's default web domain which is not aligned with your brand domain. Consequently, contacts might not recognize the domain in the links and mistakenly perceive them as attempts at fraud or phishing, potentially avoiding clicking on them. |
Create a new web domain aligned with your brand domain. For more details, refer to What a web domain is and How to create a web domain. |

The current DNS CAA record configuration for mn.example.com prevents MagNews from creating a certificate. Contact our help desk for more information. |
Your domain has published a DNS CAA record that does not specify "Let's Encrypt" as a certification authority (CA) authorized to issue SSL certificates for your domain. SSL certificates automatically generated by MagNews are from the "Let's Encrypt" CA, therefore automatic certificate creation for your web domain is not possible. |
To allow MagNews to create an SSL certificate with Let's Encrypt, ask the person responsible for your domain's DNS management to modify the DNS CAA record by also adding "letsencrypt.org" to the record's value. If this modification is not possible, contact our help desk for information on alternative solutions for configuring an SSL certificate for your web domain. |
