Magnews applies constant monitoring of DNS Names configured in web domains, in the headers of the latest sent communications and in those of transactional messages.
To access the tool Domain blacklist monitor, follow the path Monitor > Send > Deliveries
You will be shown the page containing the list of all currently monitored DNS.
Magnews daily checks whether the used domains are present in any of the considered blacklists (blacklists are external services from magnews, managed by third parties and queried to know the status of the domains in question).
The monitoring analyzes the DNS of messages sent in the latest 14 days - both communications and transactional messages - and adds them to the list of monitored DNS. If there are no further updates, the DNS is removed after 35 days.
A DNS is associated with one of two possible statuses:
- Domain not in Blacklist
- Domain in Blacklist
To find out which list has responded with a blacklist report, click on the symbol; this will take you to the blacklist control page for the selected domain. Blacklists that have reported the domain are marked with the symbol shown next to their name. The same table indicates the date of the latest check and the details of the report
Note: if a DNS is in a blacklist, it might be for a reason other than a communication sending from magnews. The monitoring exclusively queries the blacklists to find out if that specific domain is included, but does not provide information about the event that caused the DNS to end up in the blacklists.
In addition to the automatically added domains, you can add custom domains by clicking on the My DNS monitoring link at the bottom of the main table.
A new window opens and, in the DNS Names field, you need to enter the domains you wish to monitor.
The system verifies them in the same manner as the DNS names managed automatically.
Once you have finished entering the domains, click on the Save button to complete the operation.
