Organization of journey and database
The structure of journeys and databases allows organizations of any size to manage their work efficiently.
This is because they are divided into three levels.
- Account: contains the entire organization and all your work; therefore, we recommend one account per organization to keep work visible in one place, even as your business grows; here you find, for example, the main definition of graphic identity and brand reputation configurations.
- Journey: separates different automated flows or activities; you can organize them by departments, high-level initiatives, brands, or in whatever way you need.
- Asset: organizes the actionable parts of your campaigns into assets, like communications, landing pages, transactional messages, on-site messages, automated flows.
Databases also have a hierarchical organization:
- Global database: centralizes all contacts in one place; shared fields for all databases are defined here.
-
Database: organizes contacts that represent completely different segments (like employees and customers) in separate databases; for each of these, define the fields that make up the data model, in addition to the shared fields defined in the global database.
- Audience: groups contacts with similar characteristics or purposes by creating static and dynamic lists; then use them as targets for your marketing initiatives.
Navigating your account
Sidebar
It allows you to quickly access sections of Magnews.
For most sections, there is a contextual second-level menu.
Journey lab
Use the Journey Lab to organize, search, and create assets from a single centralized place.
Access recently opened objects from the dashboard. Filter by type or status, or perform a free search by name.
Click on Create to quickly create a new object and choose in which journey to insert it.
The calendar provides a time view of ongoing or scheduled campaigns.
Profile studio
Gathers the world of contacts. The dashboard offers a high-level view, displaying a list of databases, numbers, and trends. It shows overall engagement.
Select a database to view summary information and click on Contacts to access individual records.
Manage audiences, modify settings, and create contact fields.
Location header
Location headers allow you to quickly switch from one journey to another. Click on the name to change the journey.
The same goes for databases.
Homes
Each object finally has its own home!
Here you'll find settings, main characteristics, a graphic preview, and a summary report.
You can view the object before entering the design pages.
Homes are organized in tabs to collect detailed elements related to an asset: responses of a landing page, messages and sessions of an aytomated flow, shipments, and media of a communication.
Use the three dots button ... for actions like copy, delete, export.
Bulk action
Eliminate repetitive actions by managing contacts and automated flows sessions in bulk. For example, assign multiple contacts to the same static audience or insert them simultaneously into an active automated flow. Download the data in a report.
Click on Actions to see which features are available in context.
Connect
Use the App Center to connect and integrate other apps.
Discover, connect, and manage integrations with Magnews.
Resource center
We have restructured the documentation to improve its reliability and quality.
Access the Resource Center from the bottom left corner by clicking on the profile icon and then "User Guide".
You’ll find trending content, most consulted articles, thematic areas, and a renewed search.
Matilda vs Classic
Two interfaces, one platform.
Matilda is the new graphical interface of Magnews, easily recognizable by its dominant color, magenta: if you see blue, you're on the classic interface!
Currently, the two interfaces coexist to allow accustomed users to get familiar with this new look. In any case, every object you create will always be accessible!
However, it's important to note that Magnews updates are released almost exclusively on Matilda: if you're not using it, you'll miss important updates like the integration of AI functionalities.
On the Classic interface, you might encounter a button like Try on Matilda: from here, you can immediately access the same section but on the new interface.
If you then want to return to the Classic version, simply click on the profile icon at the bottom right, then Switch to Classic Version.
Where to find previous menus
The horizontal bar of the Classic interface has been redesigned in the vertical sidebar.
- Contacts menu, now Profile studio;
- Journey menu, now Journey lab;
- Insight menu, still Insight;
- (new) Monitor: includes shipment management, sent transactional messages, user accesses;
- (new) Connect: gathers available and installed apps;
- (new) Settings: account settings, users and roles, brand protection, scheduled activities, FTP space access.
