How to create an abandoned cart communication for PrestaShop

Design

Choose the Inspire template, available in the standard library.

Styles

The communication inherits the styles from the brand kit. You will find logo fonts and color palettes already pre-set. To modify them, click on the Styles icon; on the right, the section will appear that will allow you to adjust various options (learn more by reading the article “Create a communication via template“).

Abandoned cart products

You can start creating your communication by customizing the existing section, or by adding a new section from the catalog by clicking the button Add section.

1. From the catalog, click on the PrestaShop section and select the item “Your cart“.
   
2. Customize the item by clicking on the edit icon
   In the Layout tab, you can modify the structure of the item by changing, for example, the column proportions, text color, background color, or in the Columns tab, you can modify the behavior and appearance of individual columns.
3. Click on the Content tab, by default the option Connect to PrestaShop
   is checked. The selected options are already valid to display the contact’s cart products; you will only need to specify the number of products to display; based on the chosen item the option “One product per row“ can be checked or not.
   
4. Click the button Save.

The item is already set to display the product image, name, price, and cart total; if you want to customize the item, click the info icon near the text “Placeholders of the product in the cart“ and take note of the various placeholders.

Preview

To verify that everything is set correctly

1. click the button Preview
2. click the button Customize
3. Select the database connected to PrestaShop,
4. Select a contact by clicking the icon
   
5. From the pop-up that appeared Filter the contacts by selecting those who have at least one product in the cart.
   
6. Select a contact
   
7. Click the button Update
