You can use a custom font to make your communications more consistent with your brand identity. You can configure it directly in the brand kit so it is available in all your email communications.
Follow the path: Journey Lab > Brand kit to modify the font of the global brand kit.
You can also customize the font of a journey’s brand kit.
Add a custom font
Open the Font tab and, in the Primary font section, select Custom.
If you already have custom fonts, you will be able to select them. If you don’t have any yet, click Add font and enter the font name so you can easily recognize it later.
To complete the configuration, add at least one font variant (font-variants).
Configure a font variant
Each variant corresponds to a source file and defines when that file should be used (e.g. regular text, italic, bold).
For each variant:
Upload the file or enter the file URL on your website. Supported formats are standard font formats: .woff2, .woff, .ttf, .otf.
Set the font weight. If the font has multiple weights, you will need to upload multiple variants, one for each file. For example, “Bold (700)” is the standard bold.
Choose the style to decide whether the variant will be applied to italic text, normal text, or both.
After entering the data, save the variant.
Upload the font to the library
If you upload a file from your computer, it is saved in the global library and can be reused in other brand kits.
How and why to set a fallback font
Select a fallback font: it will be used when the custom font (or the Google font, if selected) is not supported by the email client.
This ensures your emails remain readable regardless of the device, client, or app used.
Verify the result with the custom font
Once the font is saved:
use it in your content
check the result in the editor
always test by sending emails both internally and to external addresses.
View and manage fonts in the library
Fonts you upload from your computer are saved in the global library, so you can reuse them without uploading them again.
To view or manage available fonts, click the gear icon “Manage custom fonts” above the font field.
The font library will open, where you can view all fonts in your account and edit them if needed.
