Set up your communication, choose the languages, and your email will be processed in a flash by Q Translator. It supports over 30 languages, allowing you to reach customers in every corner of the world without the need for technical or language skills.
Installation
Before you can use the app you need to install it from the 'Connect' menu, in the 'App Center' section, search for the Q Translator app and then click on the 'Install' button.
Now you can use Q Translator in all your multilingual communications!
Where to use Q Translator
If you set up multilingual communication in the communication setup you can translate the content in the communication home, or in the designer, by clicking on the translation icons. If you do not remember how to set up multilingual communication you can reread the article on multilingual multilingual email.
Before you start
When you first use it, you will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of use.
Once you accept you can proceed with using the app, the translation window will automatically open.
Q Translator
If you have set up a multilingual communication, from setup, you have a “Translate” button in the communication home, or from the designer, clicking on the translation icons. If you don't remember how, see the steps in the multilingual article.
When you reach this page, you have, at the top, the Q Translator button.
Q Translator can translate, in one click, all the texts of your communication.
Choose:
- Which texts to translate: All, Subject (subject and preview text), Content (the contents of the email)
- The source language: the language that will contain the texts you want to have translated
- The target language: the language that will contain the texts you want to have
- Whether to translate only the texts that are empty in the target language or, by selecting the option, to translate the already enhanced texts as well.
When you click on translate, a confirmation window will anticipate how many texts and how many characters you are translating.
When you confirm, the texts in the target language will be filled with the required translation.
Translate from the designer
You can also edit or enter the translation contextually, item by item.
By selecting the content you want to translate, in the right-hand bar, at the top is the content in the language we are viewing and below are text fields for content in other languages.
Here, clicking on the Q Translator icon will open the window in which to confirm the translation. The text field will be filled in automatically.
How to check your character usage
Access the Q Translator page in the “Connect” section, in the card related to “Character usage,” you can see your remaining and total characters for the current month at any time. Please note that the credit is recharged on the first day of each month automatically.
If you click on the “Usage history” button, you will open a new window displaying your Q character usage for the past 24 months.
How to deactivate Q Translator
You can revoke your acceptance of the terms and conditions at any time. Access the Q Translator page in the “Connect” section, here you will find two cards displayed, clicking on the “Terms and Conditions” button in the relevant card will open a window from which you can revoke your consent and, if necessary, reactivate Q Translator again.
