Disk space in magnews is used to store files, content, and data generated by your marketing activities. Regularly checking disk usage helps you keep your account organized, identify resources that are no longer needed, and make the most of the storage available in your plan.
What is disk space magnews?
Disk space includes all files stored within the platform, such as communications, templates, images, on-site messages, statistical reports, and other resources used for digital marketing activities.
Where to check available and occupied disk space
Go to Settings and review the information displayed in the Your plan box:
Disk space usage is calculated automatically once a day. If you need an up-to-date value, click the occupied disk space indicator and then select Refresh in the window that opens:
How disk space is calculated
Disk space is calculated by adding all files stored in the platform. To make usage easier to understand, files are grouped into the following categories:
- CMS Resources: files used for communications, templates, landing pages, images, and related content.
- Files for users: files stored in users' dedicated folders within the platform FTP area.
- File sharing: resources shared between users in the File Exchange area.
- Apps: installation and utility files required by connectors used for integrations with other technologies.
- Reports: statistical data related to platform entities such as communications, landing pages, workflows, and on-site messages.
- Other account space: files not included in the previous categories, such as files stored in account FTP folders and temporary files generated during contact imports.
How to reduce occupied disk space
Before deleting anything, identify which categories are using the most storage.
In most cases, the biggest optimization opportunities are found in the following areas.
CMS Resources
You can manually remove:
- obsolete communication templates;
- unused landing pages;
- entire journeys that are no longer needed.
Important: deletion is permanent. Once confirmed, the selected resources cannot be recovered. Make sure they are no longer required before proceeding.
Other account space
A significant portion of occupied storage is often related to files stored in Settings > FTP > File Explorer.
To free up space, you can:
- manually delete files that no longer need to be retained;
- configure automatic cleanup activities to remove older files from specific FTP folders after a defined number of days.
