Learn how to enable two-factor authentication on magnews to protect your account and enhance the security of your information.
Enable two-factor authentication for your user
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. You can use an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile, available on your device's App Store. Every time you want to access magnews, after entering your username and password, you will be asked for a confirmation code generated by the app.
To activate 2FA for your user, click on My profile from the menu at the bottom left; this will access your user settings.
In the Security tab, there is the item Two-factor authentication disabled, with the link Enable
Open your authentication app, scan the QR code or enter the code provided by magnews
Then enter the 6-digit code provided by your app and click on Enable
On the profile screen, you have confirmation that two-factor authentication is activated
From the next account login, in addition to client code, username, and password, an additional window will appear to enter the 6-digit confirmation code provided by the authentication app
To disable the two-factor authentication, click on the Disable link from the user tab; you will be required to enter the confirmation code provided by the app
